Strategic Management
Strategic Management – Certificate
Copenhagen Business School – Strategic Management
About this course
The world of business strategy is in transition. What worked before doesn’t work anymore, not necessarily.
This course prepares you to think strategically in an era when companies like Apple, Google, and Microsoft became more valuable (in terms of market capitalization) than companies like Exxon. Today, business value and competitive advantage are more likely to come from consumer perceptions of what’s great than from physical assets or economies of scale.
In this course, the first of three specialization courses designed specifically for the era of creativity and innovation, you will prepare to face the challenges of formulating and implementing strategies in 21st century business.
After completing the course, you will be able to:
- – Explain why the strategy of “doing” is considered “the highest point of management activity” (Mintzberg);
- – Accept and avoid old and tired ideas about strategy that still exist so that you can accept fresher and better ideas;
- – Indicate how the action strategy has changed due to the development of technology and globalization;
- – Preparation for the final project of the Specialization in Strategic Management and Innovation
