About this course
This course is designed to help you become a better manager by helping you more fully understand and address some of the complexities and challenges associated with managing life in organizations. In this course, you will explore theories, principles, and fundamentals that will help you manage the organizations you belong to more effectively. We will look at organizations from different perspectives, which we will use as a lens to help us isolate common management problems and guide us on how to tackle those problems. Some of these common issues that we will look at in this course include the effective use of power, implementing organizational change, understanding and managing organizational culture, decision making, including decision errors and ethical pitfalls, and leadership. By studying and applying the principles in this course, you will be better equipped to tackle some of the tough challenges you face as a manager.
